CONFIDENTIALITY
Staff cannot confirm the presence of any patient in the hospital unless the patient gives us consent to do so. If a patient wishes to have visitors, they must give the visitor their identification code number. No information will be given out about a patient, nor will visitors be allowed unless they know the identification code number.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Disclaimer: We are currently allowing visitors; however, if we should have a patient test positive for COVID-19, visitation will be restricted for everyone’s safety.
PARKING
1.Visitors may park in Seaside’s leased parking space one block away on Chestnut Street. DO NOT PARK BEHIND OUR BUILDING OR YOU MAY GET TOWED by the building owner. Seaside does not own that parking lot.
VISITING
2. The program’s visiting hours are: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm 7 days a week.
3. Each patient will only be allowed one visitor at a time.
4. Visitors must check in with the receptionist.
5. No weapons, purses, wallets, or cell phones are allowed on the unit and should be left in your vehicle or at home.
6. Car keys must be left on the first floor. You can check them in with the receptionist for safekeeping.
7. The receptionist will use a metal detector to check for weapons before a visitor is allowed on the unit. Visitor must agree to this to be allowed to visit unless there is a medical reason prohibiting this. If there is a medical reason to prohibit being scanned, visitor must agree to empty pockets and lift the back of the shirt for viewing.
8. The visitor must sign the Visitors’ Register before going up the elevator.
9. Visiting may take place in the outside area of the 6th floor if the weather permits. If not, visitation will take place in the day room. Visitors or visiting hours may be limited when program conditions require a more controlled atmosphere. This will be discussed with patients and their families should it occur.
10. If the visitor has been a patient at Seaside in the past 30 days, they may not visit any patient on unit.
11. Family members are not allowed to go to patient rooms and may not spend the night with patients in their rooms.
12. Visitors must observe the program policies on behavior and personal belongings as well as patients' confidentially.
13. Any articles, packages, etc. brought in for patients must be checked in with the program staff. This is necessary for program safety.
14. Visitors who become unruly or otherwise disrupt the program will be asked to leave at the time and return no sooner than the next scheduled visiting time.
